Colorado Hemp Regulated Under Food Manufacturing Guidelines

Colorado Governor John Hickenlooper has signed into law a measure which applies current food manufacturing guidelines to edible hemp products.

The bill is seen as a novel way to protect the state’s growing hemp industry.

As The Cannabist reported, the new law formalizes a Colorado state policy that’s been in place since last summer.

As of late April 94 businesses in Colorado have reportedly registered as hemp manufacturers under state’s industrial hemp food manufacturing policy.
