December 2025 Hemp Spot Price Index Report

Hemp Benchmarks December 2025 Spot Price Snapshot Report
December 23, 2025

As we head into the final weeks of 2025, upward price movement for nearly all hemp and hemp-derived products tracked by Hemp Benchmarks came to a head. Whether due to discounted end-of-year sales or products priced to sell to make supply corrections after overcompensating for tumultuous regulatory uncertainty, downward price pressure was prevalent.

All hemp biomass volume categories remained flat in December yet remain in a very healthy position compared to the same period last year. Not unexpectedly, CBG Biomass prices inched downward with limited demand. Wholesale prices for CBD, CBG & THCa genetics also succumbed to reduced domestic demand as well as holiday pricing offers for those growing indoors and in mixed-light environments.

After a long and steady incremental climb, prices for CBD smokable flower receded, albeit by a mere 4%, with indoor and outdoor grown flower experiencing declines of less than $10 per pound while greenhouse grown flower rates held relatively steady. Flower grown for THCa properties saw prices fall by 1.6% from the year-to-date high posted in November, although individual price assessments for indoor and outdoor grown THCa flower were slightly elevated from last month. Demand for THCa flower continues to outstrip that for CBD flower as the already popular products received publicity boosts from the efforts aimed to curb their availability.

All refined CBD distillate product categories, save for THC Free CBD Distillate, were slightly off from last month, although the Aggregate CBD Distillate category closed the month 30% higher than in December 2024. Crude CBD Oil held steady, as it has over the course of the year, as it remains somewhat insulated from consumer marketing impacts. CBD Isolate prices declined by 2%, while CBG Isolate prices remained flat.

We are pleased to announce the inclusion of THCa Isolate to our product price assessment categories. Although not as popular as its THCa flower counterpart, specifically due to the isolate’s non-psychoactive nature when used in edibles and tinctures, a market exists for it and after collecting data for most of 2025 we now include pricing details for our monthly and annual subscribers.

CBN Isolate prices are benefiting from increased awareness by consumers of its potential benefits, and prices continue to increase, this month by 5%. Other boutique distillates and isolates, such as CBC Distillate, HHC Distillate and THCv Isolate all saw declining prices to close out the year.

HAVE A HAPPY & PROSPEROUS NEW YEAR!
