Wholesale hemp product prices ticked downward for the most part in the second month of 2023. The assessed price of CBD Biomass declined slightly to establish a new all-time low price. The assessed price for CBD Biomass as of February 2023 is down 94% from the peak of $3.83 / %CBD / pound, observed in our very first Hemp Benchmarks Spot Price Index Report, published in April 2019.
Wholesale prices for extracted CBD were relatively steady from January to February. However, most product categories did see month-on-month declines, albeit relatively small ones. Both Full and Broad Spectrum CBD Distillate saw small increases in their assessed prices.
Wholesale CBG product prices were once again largely stable in February 2023. The biggest mover was the price for CBG Isolate, which declined 5% to reach a new historic low. Meanwhile, the price for CBG Clones ticked up this month, but is down 17% from a year ago.
The observed price for Delta-8 THC Distillate climbed again in February, the third month in a row of rising prices and the sixth of the last seven months to see an increase. The assessed price rose 1% to average $581 per kilogram in February. The range of reported prices spanned from $400 to $710 per kilogram.
Delta-10 THC Distillate averaged $1,234 per kilogram in February, up 2% from January’s assessed price. Observed deals for delta-10 THC ranged between $1,000 and $1,500 per kilogram this month.
Hemp Benchmarks was again able to observe prices for HHC distillate this month. Note that the following are asking prices and are not verified transactions. HHC distillate asking prices averaged $923 per kilogram, down 8% from January, while ranging between $600 and $1,200 per kilogram.
The average observed price for CBN Isolate in January was $2,193 per kilogram, essentially stable from last month. Individual transactions were reported to span between $1,300 and $3,000 per kilogram.
