For the first time in seven months, the smokable CBD flower prices dipped, losing 3%. Despite indoor grown flower holding value and greenhouse grown flower prices rising 1.3%, the total volume of fresh outdoor grown flower traded increased, pushing the aggregate product category average price down due to the lower average price point of sungrown flower. As interest from areas in the Southern Hemisphere for hemp grains and fiber continues to grow, U.S. genetics producers continue to make inroads with new customer bases and work to refine their genetic stock to suit the climates of these global customers. As a result, industrial hemp seeds for grain & fiber varieties are experiencing a jolt in the average price per pound of seed this month. Feminized CBD seeds also saw price assessment increase, mostly due to a reduction in average deal size and an absence of the heavy discounting typically seen with large volume orders.
CBD Isolate prices declined for the second month in a row, with the October price assessment down 3% per kilogram from last month. As with several other product categories that saw declines this month, the price for CBD Isolate remains significantly elevated compared to this time last year.
