The aggregate assessed price for CBD Biomass held steady this month, continuing recent stability. However, most spot transactions observed are for lower-volume lots as many processors continue to charge tolling fees or take splits to process biomass into extracts. Rates for extracted CBD products were down uniformly this month as supplies reportedly remain robust.
The assessed price for smokable CBD Flower ticked upward for the second straight month and is the only product category covered in our reporting to see a year-over-year increase. While lower-priced flower harvested in 2019 is still being traded, higher-priced deals for indoor and greenhouse-grown product again lifted the overall assessed rate.

Unsurprisingly for this time of year, prices for CBD and industrial hemp genetics rose this month. Still, prices for all types of genetics were down compared to this time last year, with rates for Industrial Seeds displaying the most stability over the previous 12 months.
